We did it! We finally got our act together and reorganized our bar cart accessories and spruced up the space surrounding it. Ever since we have moved into out apartment in Miami, it has been a work in progress. Bits and pieces at a time. This latest decor project has been one of my favorites.
The whole thing came together over the last week or so when I sat down and put my head behind some ideas of how I really wanted the bar cart to look. I l know I love being surrounded by natural greenery, and my favorite home colors are blue, gray, and gold. I felt it was safe to say I wanted to stick with that palette, but I also wanted to work some additional textures and natural materials in with the gold and lucite and glass of the cart. We went with rustic wood shelving above and sat a bamboo woven end table beside, to round out the elegant, yet unrefined beach jungalow look I was going for. I used pinterest to gather some ideas - the color block wall was one I interpreted from another bar cart designed space I had stumbled upon. Pinterest and Instagram are both wonderful visual tools to help solve simple matters, such as how to arrange glasses or bottles. Spending a few minutes just looking at other beautifully styled bar carts was helpful for me to stay focused on accomplishing my goal of creating a bar cart space that blends well with the rest of our home
Now, as soon as WholeFoods gets their shipment of Monestera leaves in this afternoon, I will be much happier. I'll be replacing the succulent pot in my Jonathan Adler vase with a green stem! Cheers to Friyay, you' know where to find me this weekend! xo RCN
